Both systems are made from high-grade aluminium and fixed securely to the ground or structure, and both are engineered for sun, wind and heavy rain. Our products have been independently tested by SETSCO for safety, strength and long-term durability. If you want a modern look with flexibility, go for a pergola — the louvre system lets you adjust it. If you want low maintenance and high durability, go for an aluminium composite or polycarbonate roof: minimal upkeep, with the protection you need.
Aluminium composite and polycarbonate panel roofing is a structure attached to the exterior of a building — durable, low maintenance and with strong UV protection, which suits unpredictable Singapore weather. It comes in different finishes and colours. A pergola is more of a standalone outdoor structure, usually free-standing but it can be wall-mounted. It is modern and aesthetically pleasing, with a louvre system that gives you flexibility. Both create a comfortable outdoor space, reduce heat and UV, and can be enclosed and integrated with ZipBlind.
Aluminium composite or polycarbonate roofing is usually better suited to smaller attached spaces. Pergolas need more room, especially free-standing ones with louvres and drainage.
All of them are durable, because we use high-quality aluminium and materials throughout. If you want the least maintenance and upkeep, we would suggest aluminium composite panels or a pergola.
Polycarbonate panels are designed for exactly this — translucent, and able to block up to 99% of UV while still letting daylight through. Pergolas with adjustable louvres also let you control how much light comes in.
Pergolas give the most design flexibility and visual impact. ACP roofing gives a clean, minimal look. Polycarbonate is functional rather than a visual feature. If looks matter most to you, we would recommend a pergola for that modern, luxe finish.
Aluminium composite panel roofing, polycarbonate and awnings are waterproof when properly sealed and angled, and give solid rain protection. Pergolas can be waterproof when designed with built-in drainage and sealed roofing panels or louvres. If you want the area fully enclosed with zero to minimal rain coming in, we recommend pairing it with ZipBlind.
Polycarbonate, known for durability and UV resistance and well suited to Singapore’s humid climate; aluminium composite panels, made of aluminium layers for durability and a modern appearance; and for pergolas, a structure and louvres made from high-grade aluminium.
A professional installation is not just about getting it set up accurately — it directly affects how long the roof lasts and how well it performs. Expert installation saves you time, avoids expensive mistakes and gives you peace of mind.
It depends on the system. Roofing — aluminium composite, FluteShield™, polycarbonate and tempered glass — carries 3 years. The pergola louvre system carries 2 years. ZipBlind® carries a 5 year limited warranty. The retractable fabric pergola carries 2 years on the motor, and the motorised cassette fabric awning 1 year on the motor. Composite decking carries a 10 year warranty against rotting, splitting and cracking. Reach out and we will go through exactly what is covered for the system you are considering.
